Ars Poetic: Blank Mind

Poetry, like an

invigorating

bottle of coke,

Strong, Sparkling,

and Refreshing. but the

graceful lyrics float beyond

my grasp like the clouds overhead,

and settles lifeless on the folio, like

the robust coke, now weeks old sits

in the fridge flat. Flat and tasteless

It hangs out with the others

but its flavor gone, monotonous

clinging to hope, one day.

One day to be fluent to

flow distinctively and powerful,

hoping some of the flavor leaps

from the companions and

descends on me flowing to the

page flavorful and refreshing

like an invigorating bottle of coke.
